Do you remember my entry about my Maxis prepaid number got terminated, yeah because yours truly ni sooooo genius till she forgot to top up the airtime for 3 months. The number is so dear to me. It was a gift from my husband (a boyfriend back then) about ten years ago. And during that time, prepaid starter pack wasn’t cheap. If I’ve not mistaken price per pack was around RM220. Yes, very very expensive if to compare the price with a current starter pack, like langit dengan bumi.

I wasn’t giving up just like that. I know I need to try to get back that number even though the guy at Maxis center kept telling me it’s not possible for me to get hold that number again. I was sooo doomed. The number has been recycled and sold as a new starter pack. Crazieeeee. I can’t imagine how frustrated the new customer would be if he/she uses that number. My customers and friends will call em and ask about Usana or stuff that’s not related to em. They will go nutsie for sure. I still remember how my friend used to curse the phone line she just bought like hell as she received too many calls asking for money. Apparently the previous owner of that number has so many debt and ah long is hunting him/her down. See how troublesome and (dangerous!) it can be…kan? Why can’t service provider check the health meter of the number before recycling it?

For example, my number. I’ve been using it for 10 years and am still actively using the number if not for making calls, am still receiving sms and phone calls till the day my line got terminated. So, question now why on earth I would want to terminate my line if I’ve been using it for 10 years and counting? I guess, it’s about time all the service provider do some changes on the policy. No? Terminate lepas 3 bulan sbb tk top up is mengarut di zaman sekarang, if nk terminate pon kasik second chances lah jgn lah gi terus recycle the number dowwhhhh. If baru pakai 3-4 bulan nk terminate n recycle ok lah juga, ni kamon’ la aku dh pakai 10 tahun ok! Dah la beli mahal , bukan murah2 5 hengget okayyyy.

I did try to convince Maxis to give me back that number, but kept getting the same answer again and again. Till one day I lost my patience, so I tweeted about it. I mentioned @MaxisListens in my tweet and wrote in my complain.  Not long after that Maxis contacted me straight away after and said that they gonna investigate the situation and get back to me soonest. Yippie! And a week after Maxis called me up and informed me that my number will be available again in 2 weeks time and ready for collection. But I need to purchase the number as a new number. Well, no biggie! As long as I get that number again, paying RM8.80 for it, is totally nothing.

So, I won’t take things for granted again, I learn my lesson thru a very hard way I suppose and am gonna set a reminder to top up my handphone . I don’t top up the phone often as am using Digi postpaid line too. So, whenever I wanna make calls or send sms I’ll use my other number. That’s the reason my Maxis number always being forgotten.

As I promised to Maxis, for their superb customer service in handling my case, here I am writing a thank you blog post for Maxis. Especially to @MaxisListens twitter team, I owed you guys so much! Big thanks!

Emak, Dot Com and DreamHost

U know what, menjadi blogger kadang kala adalah sedikit cacat. Mcm otak tkder benda nk update blog, tapi tangan and perasaan gatal nk menaip blog. Sbb tu kadang-kadang update adalah mcm haremm. Saya tak tau la org lain..tapi saya mcm tu la.

Contoh nyer malam ni (malam I draft entry ni), am so bored to death. Nak chat cam tkder geng, nk tweet cam burung-burung lain senyap jer, nak FB…hmm lately I don’t really fancy FB sangat, login pon sbb nk upload gambar or reply msg kawan2. Bapakkkkk bosan ok.

Tapi takper hari Jumaat nk balik kampung (dah hari sabtu daaa). Boleh tukar angin sket. Ingat nk mintak mak buat masak lemak labu dgn sambal belacan and sambal totok (betul ker ni? main belasah jer, ala yg ikan bilis campur air asam buah limau kasturi) tk pon lauk sambal daun kayu (tadi mak buat gulai masak lemak cili api cendawan kukur, bestest!). Ya allah sedapnyer sehingga menjilat-jilat. Oh cakap pasal emak, mak saya dah ada FB and sudah ada blog juga!

Takperlah cerita pasal emak punye blog later lah. Macam tgh construction jer lagi. Tak tahu lah apa jadi nnt tu nnt. Huhu. An Iphone for me? Not for now

Iphone 3GS with Digi

I’ve been contemplating the other day to buy Iphone 3GS or Blackberry Storm. Yg pakai BB promote BB, yg pakai Iphone promote Iphone. Wow seriously like a battle of smartphone. Happening giler. Buying a new smartphone is never an option for me since I just bought one last September, which is Nokia N97. But when I came to know that Iphone is now available with DIGI, I suddenly got the impulse to buy it. I did plan to buy an Iphone earlier, but sadly during that time Iphone comes with Maxis package only plus the waiting list is hell long. I opt for Nokia since I need a smartphone quite urgently at that time.

N97 Camera - Terbaek!

I was thisss close to let go my Nokia recently, because I don’t need 2 smartphone (if i were to purchase a new one). But after going through the specs, I was frustrated a bit to discover that the camera specification isn’t as good as N97. I need a good camera on the go. N95 has been so kind to us all these while as well as N97. I don’t really fancy carrying a camera with me everywhere I go, a handphone with a good camera will do.

So, I just simply retreat and cancel my plan to buy a new smartphone for now, I guess I need to wait until June, since Munirah did inform me that Iphone will come out with a new spec for the camera. Apparently better than the current model. If that is the case, I don’t mind waiting for another 3 months. Times flies so fast aight?

Ride yg bayar seringgit goyang seminit! Cekik darah..

Naik ride ni lagi best! Free tapi goyang lama. Syok sampai tangkap leleh.

So here goes few pictures taken using N95 during our recent shopping trip to OU. We ended up spend about RM200++ for Ichiro’s stuff only at Mothercare. Mothercare is the only place I can choose whatever things I want to buy for Ichiro without Imran nag me from behind. He’s willing to pay some more. Now I really envy my son. Nnt dah besar, I think I need to”kerjasama” with Ichiro whenever I want his daddy buy something for me. Sure dia beli, sbb anak kesayangan dia request kan? Kalau I request sendiri. Bolayan kot. Huhu.

Oh btw, red and black stripey baby suit that my son wearing in the picture is a gift from Puteri. She gave it as a present for Ichiro during aqiqah ceremony. Thank you Puteri, we like the suit so much! Been meaning to snap picture of Ichiro wearing it tapi asyik tk dapat jer. I think Ichiro does looks good in it. Don’t you think so? Those who interested to book an advertorial slot for baby clothing on my blog boleh la kot, sponsor Ichiro satu-dua baju, boleh dia modelkan sket. Don’t worry I make sure Ichiro smile and laugh as tough he enjoy wearing the clothes so much. Hihih. Oh Ichiro suka brand Gap, DKNY, Guess, Ralph Lauren, Nike or Adidas (well just to name a few, kalau pakai dat brand dia senyum lagi lebar) Muahahaha nampakkkkkk sangatttttt la mak dia yg opsss terlebey sudaaaa. Sure la ada kutuk haku ni karang kata sajer nk mintak2.

Digi Broadband Second Review

Ok since there are so many of you had requested to me to do another review on Digi Broadband, so here goes my latest review of Digi Broadband.

Digi Broadband continuously giving me good internet connection and I have no complain so far. NO COMPLAIN (notice the caps?) hehe. Yeah, am a satisfy user of Digi and would like to recommend it for those who are ;

1) frustrated with your current wireless broadband service
2) thinking of getting one for yourself but do not know which service provider you should go for, since we are truly spoil with numerous number of “bad” choices actually. Ha ha.
3) looking for affordable plan that start from hmm i think around RM50 ish a month. But mine is RM108 per month, which is the medium package. They have another package specially tailored for heavy internet user and who download lot of stuff from internet everyday

For all package, it comes with free modem. However, be sure to check on the coverage for your area first before buying. There are certain areas aren’t covered by DIGI or has a very poor signal. For example industrial area. Shall your office situated at the industrial area, I would highly advice to check with DIGI first.

For PJ area [my house area] the connection is pretty awesome. Love it and encounter no problem so far with the connection. Even at my hometown in N9, I can still surf the internet using DIGI but the speed is somewhat slow. But am ok with that, because I have been informed before hand by the SA what kind of speed that I should expect at my “kampung” house.

Been using it for about hmmm 6 months [wow that half a year already] and I would say am a happy user of DIGI BROADBAND. Please don’t ask me how fast the speed and so on, because frankly speaking I don’t know. I’m not a technie’ kind of person. What I know, I can open multiple browser, tab, chatting, update blog and download stuff simultaneously. Roughly i can open 1 website page and fully load the page in within 10-15 seconds [ i guess so lah]

DIGI also has 7 days return policy. You can quickly return the modem and terminate the service if you think DIGI is not for you. My entry is solely base on my own experience using DIGI and am neither a staff nor affiliate of DIGI.
