Morning all! I’m staying up tonight to take care my sick son while trying to finish to read all the books that I bought recently (will do review soon). Ichiro is down with fever and I feel a bit depressed when this happened at the time I got so much works to do. I know this is a test from Allah the almighty and insyallah I will try  to get through this gracefully.

When I’m not in the mood to do anything there is one thing that I love to do to keep me occupy or to bring back the good mood. Photo editing. Yup, I love playing with photoshop and edit the photos according to my current mood. Since I am in sad state because my son in sick and it really breaks my heart to see him looking so tired and unenrgetic, here is the result of the editing works that reflects my feeling now. I edit the photo so that it looks like as if we are looking at the baby from outside a glass window during rainy day. Yeah, rains reflect my sad feeling.

I hope Ichiro gets better tomorrow. Come on son, please don’t make mommy worry.

Newborn Photography

Utk julung-julung kalinyaaaaaaaaa, I got the chance to photograph a newborn! My son dulu pon I tkder shoot sendiri, because I got my DSLR camera 2 months after he was born. And when my friend Fid requesting me (sort of lah hahaha) to shoot her newborn nephew, I straight away said ok. Walaupon ada sedikit goosebumps, because this would be my first paid photography job ever. I never offer or advertise my photography service before due to few reasons.

First is because I think my gadget (camera, lighting and so on) is not good enough and I cuma ada satu camera dan 2 lenses sahaja. Yg satu tu pon I jarang guna, sbb range dia mcm too short, amik jauh2 sikit tk boleh. Lampu and benda2 lain semua tak der ok. Due to that, yg buat I refuse to shoot for a paid customer. I rasa mcm unfair for them. Secondly, I think my photography skill biasa-biasa sahaja. Malu nk charge orang dgn skill yg biasa-biasa. Photography is not just about point a camera and shoot. It’s all about creativity and art. Owning a set of high tech photography gadget is only to help you to get a better picture, but the rests are all coming from creativity and art of seeing. Some thing like technique and tips, it can be learn but creativity and art it has to be natural! U got to “feel” it when you shoot. Yeah I shoot by feeling. Huhu.

So since I know Fid for quite sometime already, very supportive friend and jenis yg sempoi2, so I agree. Kalau customer yg cerewet bagai, sekian terima kasih. Hihi. Tak berani haku.

To Fid, I owe you so much for this great opportunity. I really really appreciated it. Walaupon I wanted to take more and shot yang I nak tu tk sempat nk shoot, sbb baby berak bagai hahaha, but I had such a wonderful time photographing the baby. Nnt boleh snap lagi, tapi without your mom around lah hahaha. Kesian dia tkleh tahan tgk cucu baru lahir 2 hari “didera” . Tapi baby tu cool pandai posing

To all, enjoy all these photos taken at Prince Court Medical Centre, photo editing all done by me as well. Actually I got a special and unique idea for a nice baby poster, but didn’t manage to get the shot as we were running of time yesterday. My attempt to set my own trademark sebenarnya poster tu. Hihi. Tak tahu lah jadi ker tak. Well…let’s hope the baby could come to my house and pose for me for a couple of shots. So I can show to your guys my idea tu, very pretty and cute kalau jadi

Thanks Fid for the payment, adalah terasa pelik dapat bayaran utk photography works. Yay! I have decided to use ladyimran ClickPhotos brand for my photography, so sama dgn my twitter name, my commercial fashion designer name, my yahoo mesengger nick and many more. Mmg I’ve been using that nick for as long as I can remember. So, ladyimran ClickPhotos is another product by ladyimran. Wow sound very promising hihi. Oh btw, when I was about to leave the hospital, I saw Ramli MS sitting on the couch at the lobby. Huhu. And malam tadi pergi makan dekat A&W, i nampak tv host, I tatau nama dia, he’s a guy. Hari bertembung dengan celebriti kah?

Nilam Boutique updates

You know what….having 3 blogs to be update and maintain ain’t easy and that’s what happening to me now. Huhuh. Sakai betul ok. My other websites still belum siap sepenuhnya, there are still a lots of things need to be done, dah boleh guna, but ada few areas I belum letak infos and etc. As I said earlier on, it ain’t easy and part nk mengarang2 info tu buat I lemas. Tapi lemas tk lemas kene buat jugak.

Dah lama tk update pasal Lonia and Nilam. Ok tkper, kali ni I update utk Nilam dulu lah. Last weekend I did a photoshoot session with Isma and her fren name Ainul (nk tersama dah dgn nama I heee, rasa pelik nk panggil dia Ainul). She ordered a pair of tailored made Kurung Pahang together with fabric sekali lah. Then she requested for a photoshoot, and since it has been quite a while I didn’t do any shoot, so I pon riang gembira jerlah nk shoot kan. Nak nak plak for raya shoot, I pon suka jer lah. She didn’t specify that she wanted a raya/ramadhan theme shoot, but I came out with the idea since she’s gonna wear the kurung pahang and we are now in holy Ramadhan month, so why not kan?

Here are some photos that I could share with you guys utk kasi Raya feel sket. Huhu. Lighting was a major problem sbb shoot malam and since am lack of photography gadget, jadinya this is the best that I could capture. There are few more, but haven’t got time to browse through and select the good pictures. To all Nilam customers, yang pernah order or nak order/tempah anything, you are automatically entitle for free photoshoot. Make up pon ada, but make up ada charge sikit lah yer. Dulu we do make up for free , but promo tu dah habis Dah alang-alang buat baju lawa, amik lah gambar sekali kan? Berbaloi buat baju mcm tu, and since it’s free you must be kidding me if you say no to it. Huhu.

Ok next story is about a very classic and vintage kurung moden that I made for my friend. She appointed me few months back to commission this piece for her. Well I was kinda suspen jugak masa tu, because she wanted the baju for raya and I need to scout for fabrics too. She gave me a list of few colors that she likes and the best thing about my friend ni, she’s not that fussy at all and she trusted me to get the fabrics for her.

I love customers yang kasi I ruang utk berkarya (cewah), ok let me elaborate a bit, bila customer tak cerewet and dia percaya kepada designer utk bermain dengan design yg bersesuaian it’s really mean a lot u know…Sbb kalau terlalu cerewet and terlalu banyak restriction this and that, ended up we might not be able to come out with a good design or any element of surprise sbb designer sebenar baju tu adalah customer tu sendiri. Huhu. So dah tkder surprise kan? Where’s the fun then? So, kalau I buat baju utk my customer I prefer to have “my” element or trademark lah, tk kisah la if the baju was inspired from other baju yg similar design, but fabric chosen and cara aplikasi fabric ke atas baju tu sedikit lain dari baju contoh asal pon dah cukup utk beri kelainan dan kejutan.

Ok membebel panjang tk guna. Sbb haku dh ngantuk and dh nk masuk subuh ni. Lepas pray nk tido lah. Oh ada satu lagi cerita, I dah start gym dah 3 hari. Utk 3 hari ni I just do mild exercise , just to get myself familiar with the equipment and facilities. Start esok I buat work out betul lah. I need to at least burn about 600kg/hr in a day to lose weight. Lebih kurang mcm nk kene lari atas threadmill dgn sgt laju for about 1hr. Wahahahaha. Pengsannn. And satu lagi cerita, finally I managed to cut my hair and rebonding! Yippie, now kepala sgt ringan and rambut sangat sihat! Loving my rambut raya. Yabedabedu.

Home Business Essential – Mini Studio

Oh this is pretty cool. I should make a series of home business essential  entry to share my own experience running home base business.  I’m in the opinion that home base business should not be treated as a third class business since more people are now switching to work at home rather than working at office 9 to 5. Don’t get me wrong, I am not against people who are working at the office, it just that if happens you got  the time and opportunity to run your own business at home, I would say go ahead. Why not, aight?

So, doing 2 job in a time is never easy and if you are mother of 6 children (for example) things are tougher for you. Don’t ever wish for an angle or fairy god mother will fall from sky to assist you – because they don’t exist (but if they do, I want a fairy god mother too ehe), what you actually need is a guidance or tips on how to make it work conveniently and professionally, since you are doing 2 jobs in a time.

Previously I blog about Courier Bag where you can easily post your goods without a need to wrap your product especially things like scarf, clothes , supplement and etc. You can just put the item in the plastic, seal it and post it.Easy peasy.

The tent is quite big, I think manusia also can masuk and bergambar dalam ni ehe.

This time around, I wanna blog about my new helper aka my new mini studio made of a white cube/tent. I called it helper since it is  indeed very helpful. All these while it took me about 10-15 minutes to set up my own “mini studio” which sometimes made me feel very detested and terribly lazy to shoot my products, and don’t make me start with the lighting. It was a very painful experience to get a good lighting or to get the lighting to co-operate with you. But whatever it is, you got to have a stunning photo for your products, because beautiful photos  is vital in converting your website visitor to sales.

But now not anymore, I got a white cube tent which is super easy. I’ll just  need to place my product inside this cute tent and snap the pic. Oh btw, you may need few source of light also to make sure the white background glowing and not dim/grey-ish. In my case, I prefer to use natural source of light provided by god – the sun. Hehe. Lucky, there’s an open area in my house, not really open like without roof….there’s a roof but it was made from a transparent plastic roofing so the sunlight can still penetrate through.

So, I shoot the product during day time and result as above.  I bought the tent since a friend of mine wanna hire me to shoot her products, she got like more than 100 products to shoot. So, adalah pitam nak set mini studio manually and edit the picture because surely I need to edit the background to be as white as possible,  nk buat sekali dua kali no sweatttt….but if nak edit sebanyak 100 kali? Pengsan mak ok.

As you know I don’t take any portraiture photography job, but for product shoot…yes, because it’s much simpler and the object is not a living a thing. Hehe. Price is RM6 per photo and RM1.50 for 1 DVD. Service that I provide;

1) Shooting

2) Editing

3) Watermarking (logo or watermark provided by customer in PSD/PNG format, I will just drag it onto the photo)

However, please be inform that I do this ONLY when I’m a little free yah. If I’m not free and busy with my biz, afraid I can’t shoot. Oh by the way, I bought the white cube tent at Digital Mall, Petaling Jaya. I believe you can get it from other camera & photography shop as well. Price is ranging from RM120-RM200 depending on size. Quite expensive, maybe other shop is cheaper, couldn’t’ be bother to check at other shop sbb malas and knowing me , semua benda nk cepat and tak boleh tunggu punya orang.
