Nilam

Yesterday was a super tiring day, thus can’t write much now. Just wanna let you guys know that new collection of Lelasari instant shawl is ready or sale. In sha Allah will update all 8 ( i think 8..) designs most probably on Tuesday or Wednesday. Do check Nilam Boutique KL blog ok. The new Lelasari is longer than the previous version by 30 cm, so now you can wear the loop style hijab using Lelasari instant shawl and plus this time I use different colour for the chiffon awning. Do grab yours quickly as the stock is pretty limited. Once gone , you would never get the same prints/pattern again. Price wise is a bit higher than the previous one, due to different fabric type use and different length too.

I made this dress last year and the wedding actually took place February this year. Gila lambat eh I tulis entry about the dress. Panjang ceritanya. Mula2 because pengantin minta upload gambar after the wedding, so I waited till February. Then, my laptop pula masuk workshop terpaksa tunggu lagi. Then pung pang pung pang busy sana sini, last-last baru ni berkesempatan nk update. But I’ve already put up some photos of the bride and groom wearing my creation on their wedding day, the photos were taken by wedding photographer and I’m still waiting for more beautiful pictures from them sebenarnya.

Nik was being introduced to me by my friend Isma. They used to work in the same office. So the bride Nik contacted me and we discussed details about pricing, budget, design, material, colours and etc through email. When everything seemed ok with the budget and all only then we decided to meet up. Yup, normally my style memang macam tu. I prefer to discuss all the important part dulu especially budget, design and material through email because we can just straight discuss about it without wasting time. Bila semua ok baru jumpa, jadinya sessi bertemu tu dah simple dan mudah sbb kesemua benda2 yg penting sudah discuss terlebih dahulu. I have to do like this due to time constraint. Lagipon it way much better kan? as we don’t waste anyone’s time kan? Customer tk waste my time dengan berjumpa dan tk pasti nk tempah ker tak dan I pon tk waste customer’s time. Kita bincang, setuju baru jumpa for measuring and so on.

Dan juga customer pon rasa selesa dan tak ada rasa serba salah ke apa, sbb kadang-kadang bila dah jumpa and discuss lama2 sekali budget tk boleh nk meet pula. Dahhhh tk jadi tempah, dahhh rasa segan bagai. So to avoid all these to happen, easier to discuss through email and meet me once you are agree with my price and suggestion.

So back to this beautiful lilac chiffon dress, it’s indeed a simple and sweet dress. Nik prefers the dress to be simple as she planned to wear it not only for the wedding. It’s not difficult at all to work with Nik, as she’s very cooperative and not fussy. When I suggested to her to do crochet crown & crochet shoulder wrap instead of lace , she has no objection to it and I was so happy since she’s open to new thing. I plak mmg dah aim nk design dress with crochet sbb kinda bored with lace already and I believe if pergi wedding, banyak tetamu pon guna lace kan?

A bit about the lilac chiffon dress, the shawl/veil is pre-attached to the dress, senang sket tk perlu nk cari tudung dah. Just wear a nice scarf inner. Then for the sleeve , it’s a normal sleeve with 2 layer ruffles and I suggested to Nik to add some decent beading. Sbb mula-mula tk ada beads, but I think bila lagi nk melaram with beading bagai if not wedding , ye tak? And beading ni can always unpick if you don’t want it anymore. There’s also lots of beading at the bottom of the dress. Scattered beads. Then for the crown part on the veil, instead of lace patch, I chose crochet lace patch. It is more unique, pretty and exclusive too. Other than that, I’ve also provided crochet lace wrap, to be wrapped around the chest and arm, to give some vintage look but sweet. The dress also comes with a stand alone belt that can be removed.

Other than that, Nik also ordered a pair of custom made shoes to be worn with her lilac dress and groom suit that match her dress colour too. I’ve provided everything including the material. Usually I don’t take many custom orders at one time to ensure quality of my products are top notch. So, tak perlu risau kalau kot-kot designer or tailor confuse ker sbb banyak orders, sbb if dengan I, normally mmg I focus buat only 1 baju pengantin at one time and will only open another slot of wedding orders after the first one has finished. Ichiro tengah tk berani nk rapat dgn clown. Malu tapi mahu. Huhu.

Due to limited number of events that we can attend in a year, so am quite lucky this year at least ada la satu invitation ni ha yg kiterorg dpt hadir. Hahaha. Not that am picky when it comes to attend event, I mmg always looking forward for parties and kenduri so that my kids can gain more social experience and be able to mingle with new friends andddddd….also because I can wear my dresses and princess skirts. I’m a sucker of dress and skirt, so keep collecting and making them but seldom wear. But kadang-kadang tk dapat pergi sbb ada aral, mcm hari tu my customer cum friend invite me and family to her son party, tapi we can’t make it sbb anak2 tk sihat.

Baby yg baju merah tu mcm sukaaaa sangat dengan Kenji. Sepanjang Kenji main kt situ, dia dok la melekat dgn Kenji. Hehe. Cute pakai shirt ala-ala sama cam Kenji gak. Kenji…kempiskan sket hidung tu please. Hihi.

Masa nk pergi party smlm ada problem, couldn’t find my black skirt, since dah running out of time and thinking we might not able to arrive before the cake cutting session, I just put on my electric blue satin skirt instead. I don’t have blue scarf (that comes in the form of instant shawl – check my Lelasari Collection to purchase instant shawl that is exclusively designed by me!) so I was a bit furious, but since dh lambat and my husband is not around to blame (at that moment la kan…hihi) so, I belasah je pakai tudung hitam and kuning (yes it’s an instant shawl). LOL. I was likeeee apa jadah la warna combination biru hitam kuning ni. But once dah pakai elok2, it looks nice also (i think la…colour blocking gitu..).Haha.

Now mmg I prefer pakai instant shawl, because sangat senang nk pakai satu, but most importantly sangat senang nk jaga bila dh pakai, bila senget, bila kene tarik and so on. Itu yg paling penting la bagi i, i rasa. I sampai tahap dah boleh pakai scarf tu tanpa tengok cermin ok. If in masjid, yg selalu cermin tk cukup, I’ll just pakai dulu siap2, then bila bangun nk blah, jeling cermin sket je. Easy kan? Tu yg bila takder scarf yg bleh matching with my outfit, I rasa tk best dah.

Us! Gambar ni tk berapa clear sbb guna second camera. Ichiro with his signature smile. Setiap kali amik gambar mesti kuar bunyi from him…”smile eeeeee”, yes he needs to say that in order to smile. Tengok rambut Ichiro dah serabai.

Ok back to the party, as expected kiteorg ni para VIP yang datang lambat. Sampai2 tengok ramai dh friend yg dh balik. Tengok orang pon dah tk ramai sangat, if you’ve been to any Rinie’s event before, tk pernah nyer la tk ramai orang. So, bila sampai dh tk ramai orang I cam dh panik, alamak dh nk habis kenduri ke? Hihi.

Sebaik Ichiro sempat get some balloons from the clown. If not confirm merajuk nnt. Huhu. Then my friend Munirah pon ada, she also baru sampai so tkder la feeling alien sangat. The weather was quite hot, tk tahan aku! Lucky tuan rumah kasi the kids main dalam rumah, so Kenji main guling2 atas karpet and Ichiro main bubble with the other kids. Main sampai rambut jadi serabai and berpeluh2.  I don’t know was it because of the weather or sbb Ichiro main tk hengat donia.

Ichiro with his sword balloon. Bila ada kawan jatuh and balloon pecah dia gi inform Clown belon tu, tapi sepatah haram clown tu tk faham apa dia cakap. Haha.

Dah kasi Ichiro main for a while, bila dh start nk mengganas and Kenji dah start nk start enjin nk menagis, I dah kasi signal to my husband to make move. Lagipon husband need to send us to my hometown straight after the party sbb school break ni I nk duduk kampung seminggu.

So, itu sahaja, hope get more invitation this year sbb we love parties! But sometimes mmg tkleh nk attend sbb anak2 / or kami tk sihat atau ada hal lain. Thanks Rinie and husband for having us! Semoga Daim membesar dgn sihat dan jadi anak yg soleh and to the elder 2 as well Dani and Dayyan. Lauk kambing and nasik arab (nasi arab ker briyani eh? I tkleh nk differentiate) adalah sgt sedap! Love the red velvet cuppies also.

Lamaaaa dah tak buat photoshoot. The last one was for the prayer robe that I did in Ramadhan month of 2012. I was heavily pregnant back then and my leg and thigh was cramp due to too much movement in a day, I didn’t shoot any photo ever since. Now, it’s time to back to work Lama sangat dah berehat, my tudung new collection alhamdullilah dah release this week. Once laptop I yg masuk workshop repair, dah dapat balik, terus cepat2 buat editing works. I siap buat kerja2 editing and update blog at 4.00 am pagi selasa. Mmg mengantuk tk hingat!

As for the shooting, I’m still looking for the best place for shooting, so far I think Putrajaya Mosque is the nearest beautiful spot yang kiteorg senang nk pergi. I prefer mosque sbb normally when I shoot for tudung/scarf, I’ll shoot prayer robe/telekung sekali, so telekung mmg sesuai shoot diperkarangan masjid. For this time around, kami try shoot di Masjid As-Salam (masjid terapung puchong). Too bad masjid tu mcm tk berjaga sangat, kotor, habuk and dalam tasik tu banyak sampah. Masjid punya paint pon dah season.  I was a bit disappointed sbb I prefer tempat yg cantik yg senang nk shoot, tkyah nk adjust2 angle sangat or terpanjat sana sini utk dapat good shot, sbb we got no time for that. I prefer datang lokasi, siap2 pakai tudung semua and shoot in 2 hours time. Normally I’ll scout the place first tapi hari tu ronda2 i tkleh nk jumpa tempat yg senang nk shoot. Ada tu mmg ada but requires extra  effort and time. Model pon baru bersalin , bawak baby sekali utk breastfeed, i pon bawa baby and toddler yg lasak, jadi time is luxury to us. Kalau lama sket anak2 dah merengek, hence cannot nk spend too much time on photography and what not. So, I guess next shoot will be at Putrajaya la balik till we found another place yg nearest and beautiful.

Kali ini I shoot tudung baru and telekung berwarna. Telekung berwarna ada design baru, alhamdullilah telekung berwarna akan menjadi produk tetap Nilam Boutique KL, dan latest….. finallyyyyyy I dapat keluarkan tudung new collection, new style. Banyak halangan yg menyebabkan production jadi slow, kalau dah ada anak, mmg agak susah sket nk arrange time and work. I’m still working on it, now dah ada 2 anak mmg mencabar. Hope lepas ni production laju, lebih2 lagi dah nk raya ni kan
