Proton Family Day 2011

Sebahagian dari pekerja proton dan keluarga masing2 yang memenuhi Sunway Lagoon. Semua tengah breakfast dgn KFC

I keep reminding myself, next year if I were to join another proton family day, I must get up super early and be at the location earlier than everyone else (I mean earlier than other 10 thousands of Proton’s staff). No joke.

Hari tu, ingatkan dah awal dah, tapi bila sampai area Sunway, tengok bas-bas proton dah bersepah2, coming from Tanjung Malim, Pahang and from all Proton branches. Then dalam kereta semua kereta yg berpusu2 masuk parking park, semua kereta org proton. Parking dah penuh seawal pukul 9 pagi! Sebaik ada banyak lagi dekat level atas2. Haku dah panik, sbbnya we got to be in the Sunway Lagoon before 9.15 am, because nk masukkan coupon lucky draw.

Hahaha I know I sounded ridiculous kan? Nk berebut2 sampai semata2 nk masukkan kupon dalam kotak lucky draw. Well, I think you need to know the prize before judging me. Hihi. Siapa tak nak kan hadiah kereta Inspira, kereta saga, tiket umrah and tiket melancong and many other hadiah saguhati like motor, ipad, computer, handphone, tablet and etc. Tell me sapa tanak kereta free??

Area pool. Penuhkan? Next time I nk bawak tent juga, letak kipas semua dalam tent. Sbb Proton nyer hari keluarga mmg selalu mcm ini lah. Penuh.

Sampai jer Sunway Lagoon, there goes my hope nk menang kereta, nk masuk jer dah cramp. Tempat beli tiket nk masuk tu, penuh dgn org berbaju oren (baju proton). Nk masuk kene rebut2. Staff Sunway plak nk kene check bag bagai, last2 diaorg kasik jer masuk tanpa check bag, sbb impossible nk check semua. Masuk jer semua org jalan cepat2 turun escalator, tkder lah cepat mana pon, sbb penuh manusia kan, I plak dengan nk tolak stroller Ichiro di tengah2 lautan manusia, mmg banyak la kaki manusia kene lenyek. Hihihi. Sorry la sesapa yg I terlenyek kaki dgn stroller Ichiro yg berat nk mampus. Banyak barang gantung termasuk lah berat Ichiro.

Sebaik ada organizer event yg tunggu kt bawah escalator with kotak lucky draw tu, then lega lah i. Haha. Tapi lega sekejap jer, sbb perjalanan nk sampai ke khemah utama, sungguh mencabar. Sbb we got to amik food first, amik bag cenderahati and baru move to khemah utama. Jalan mmg jam pack gila gila gila gila. Lucky Ichiro tak cranky, he just sat quietly while mommy dia struggle nk keluar dari kesempitan ruang. Takut juga Ichiro terlemas nnt. Husband pergi beratur nk amik food.

I asyik tengok jam, sbb nya cabutan grand prize tu akan berlangsung dalam 15 minutes. Husband still beratur for food. Adehhh. I dh pasrah jer time tu. Tiba-tiba husband muncul bersama harapan. Muka anak sedara i ( i bawak my nephew) and ichiro dah bosan jer sbb diaorg tk dapat2 lagi nk main air. Hihi.

So, terus jer kiterorg jalan cepat2 menuju ke khemah utama, but sadly we stuck in the middle of human ocean again , kali ni event worse. Tak boleh bergerak langsung. Tkder movement. Sbb people coming from both direction and bertembung then kiri kanan org2 dah letak tikar n duduk jadinya lagi cramp. We tried to squeeze ourselves and pergi ke tepi sbb seriously Ichiro duduk dalam stroller boleh lemas sbb tkder udara. Stuck dekat situ dalam 20 minutes juga lah. Last-last my husband mcm cakap kuat sikit mintak laluan for the kids. Then org tgk stroller yg penuh dengan barang2 tu, terus kasi laluan. Hehe. Barulah terselemat. Nasib baik tk menang hadiah cabutan bertuah, sbb kalau menang kiterorg tk dpt nk pergi stage ambil sbb tersekat, kalau jadi mcm tu lagi lahhhhhhhhhh terkilan kan?

Ok yg ni cool kan? Matahari sangat cerah and somehow colour dia berubah jadi merah, very cantikkkk. I name this shot as “Sun-Flower”

It’s ok next time, after that dah selamat sampai kt pool, pool penuh dgn manusia juga. Siap ada pasang tent bagai. Tkder tempat nk duduk. Then we scouted for a spot utk I duduk dan jaga2 barang, dapatlah area tepi longkang. Wakakaka. Tapi ok lah sbb ada pokok and very redup. Tapi basahlah plak area tu sbb budak2 dok lari2 dgn kaki basah. Sebaik Proton kasi tikar, then I bentang, tapi tetap basah sbb tikar tu tipis jer, lucky I bawak my yoga mat. Muahaha. Getah dan tebal, so I bentang yoga mat atas tikar then susun bag jadi bantal, put on my shade, and amik fennel blanket ichiro yg besar utk cover I. Org lain jaki jer tgk I tidur atas yoga mat. Hehe. Diaorg tkleh baring sbb basah dan lantai berbatu2 sakit badan.

Lepas budak2 dah puas main air (sebenarnya tk puas) tapi nk kene berebut naik ride pula. Cepat2 packing and naik atas utk play the rides. As I expected ride semua penuh! Argghhh tension sungguh nk kene queue. Tapi sabar kan sahaja melayan the kids. Dapatlah naik 4 rides. Cukup lah kan. Lepas tu terus balik.

Last but not least, ni pic Ichiro , but didn’t snap this masa family day, but since dah lama tk letak gambar my intan payung ni dekat blog, so here goes. Gambar Ichiro tengah kesedapan minum Yakult sambil pakai kopiah yg dia cilok dari bilik grandpa. Hehe.

Harus cuba lagi cabutan bertuah tahun depan. Hihih.

Decoration and Design

I know…I know…I have few entries pending and stories going stale, but better late than never. Even though at this time, am so tempted to write about our football team, but I guess that has to wait. Apa-apa pon congrats to Malaysia!

I made this on the eve of the event. Sangat2 last minute because my friend requested it. Sebaik sempat siap Nampak simple, but the signage was actually printed on piece of paper, glued on the board and shrink wrap with shrink wrap film to keep the paper intact.

Last weekend I was busy preparing decorations for my friend’s kenduri (aqiqah for her son) It was my first time experience decorating for an event and I was glad that it was only a set of simple decorations as I don’t think I can handle big event just yet. Lots to learn, especially time management.

So about the event, I was being informed by my friend (customer) that the theme would be “English” and color scheme for the event would be red & black. Even though I think pastel colors is more suitable for “aqiqah” ceremony, but I honored my friend’s request still. The cradle was a huge pumpkin cradle and surrounded with teddy bears. Sorry no picture also because I was working hard that day. Huhu.

Another baby in the family that being celebrated. Different set of centerpiece. I love to combine more than 2 types of decorations to give more variety. This set comes with a zink tub with bunch of flowers (compose by my husband ) , white black table runner, table greet tag, wooden frame and candle in orange skin (the orange has been removed leaving the skin that I used as a candle pot)

So these are a few shots of the decorations. Very decent, nothing huge. I supplied the guest table center pieces, table runner, chalkboard table greeting tag, chalkboard style menu label and buffet table center piece. But later I spotted a wooden table in the gazebo so, I decided to take the buffet centerpiece and place it on the wooden table. It’s nicer there. But too bad I don’t have a picture of it, as I didn’t have much time to snap pictures around.

Other than decorations, she also ordered a pair of 2-piece dress to be worn on that day. The day she confirmed the order was actually pretty late, I have less than 4 weeks to make the dress and as she sent me the payment I quickly sketched the design (can check the sketch here ) , fabric scouting, send it to my seamstress and beader for doing the 3D flowers and beading. It was a very fast forward process with no FITTING! Can you guys imagine? It was kinda panicking as I don’t like my customer to take the clothes without trying it first before my eyes, because I don’t want them to feel worried or unsatisfied when the fitting isn’t perfect. But in this case, I know my friend wouldn’t mind (but I don’t take that for granted, I still prepared the dress the best I could). Thank god everything went well, she fits the dress nicely and she looks fantastic

The only full frame picture of Rufida wearing the outfit that I made for her that I manage to snap. Ini pon mcm curi-curi ambil sekejap sbb marhaban semua tgh berlangsung masa ni. Fid pon tk sempat nak betul-betulkan her baju sbb she was carrying her son masa tu. So sorry tersenget-senget. He shawl pon wasn’t properly fall into it’s position. Insyallah we will be having a special photo shoot session for Fid featuring the same outfit soon.

Everything went quite smooth and in case my husband reading this (I know he wouldn’t, he seldom read my blog, this year…never once pon huhu), I just wanna say thank you soooooo much to him for being such a helpful, supportive and good husband. He knew that I was too busy to prepare my baju for the event, without me asking him to…he ironed my baju kurung. And he also woke up very early the next morning to help me arrange all the decorations stuff in the car including the flowers. And when I was preparing the deco at site, he’s willingly to help me to cut the flowers and put it in the vase, yeah he did all that. So dear, I just want you to know that I wouldn’t be able to make it this far if it’s not because of you. From the bottom of my heart…thank you so much for being a husband, cheerleader and a best friend.

Puma Social Event

I’ve been trying to update my blog for 2 days, but unfortunately got knocked off early for 2 days in a row. Pretty tired, went there and here to settle my works. Lucky am doing things that I love, so no complaint. Can’t imagine if it is not something that I fancy to do, with the amount of works and responsibility that I need to hold, surely I will giving up in no time.

For your record, I sleep early also today, but manage to wake up in the middle of the night, so here I am…blogging at 5am in the morning! Sweetttt. Huhu.

Orait then, the second Puma Social Campaign was launched at Cosmic Bowl, Mid Valley on 11th November. I was invited and kinda excited when I discovered that the event will be held at the bowling area and the best part is I can bowl for free. You know what, bowling is the only sport that I think I’m good at. “I think” ok, judging from my performance in other sports, I do better in bowling. Huhu. So, that’s the reason why I love bowling so much, I did try archery also previously, but nahhh it’s suck. I mean me suck not archery. Archery is pretty fun.

Manage to get my family to look after Ichiro, because me and husband wanna play bowling! Husband can throw the bowl twist style and he always ended up having a split. Split yg jenis 1 end to 1 end. Gila how to get spare like that. Me definitely no style, I just throw in straight line.

Me and husband was grouped in different group. I got to know that after we got our wristags. I was in Songbirdz group and hubby in Picfreak. I didn’t bring my camera, since my aim was to PLAY! Hahaha. I don’t want my belongings to bother me as the bowling area was dark and I don’t want to keep checking my camera and my other stuff if I bring them. But don’t worry, I have few photos from the event sent to my email.

The event attended by members of the media and a host of PUMA Friends such as Jay Menon, Suki, Dennis Lau, Phat Fabes & Ben, Jason Phang, Jeff Chin Chermaine Poo, Roshan, James Baum, Aric, attendees were introduced to the elements that make up PUMA Social’s latest campaign, which include a personality test and “pimped-up” version of its latest social sports – BOWLING.

So basically Puma want to introduce after-hours Social Sports by bringing together after-hours athlete from all over the world, giving us a platform for social exchange and friendly competition all in the name of fun and camaraderie. Consumers were introduced to the campaign via a fun and interactive club event, known as the PUMA Social Club Tour. Entitled “Here’s to the After-Hours Athlete”, it paid homage to the champions of late night games i.e. foosball, ping pong, darts and arcade games, and applauded accomplished individuals who enjoy the smell of victory and the agony of defeat.

Talking about camaraderie, yeah I did feel it. The moment I joined Songbirdz group, I felt bit alienated by those who came earlier than me. But that’s pretty normal, so I just wore a thick skin on my face and simply introduce myself that I’m in the group and I want to throw the ball. That was it and before I knew, I’d already becoming one of them and the best part it I was also contributing to my team till we won second place. Team awesome! If hubby in the same team, sure we can menang first prize. What a miss. Huhu.

Guy in blue sweater is the host. His name is Josiah Mizukami. Pretty sure he’s a mix blood, but what blood eh? Can you tell? Indian? Japanese? Eurasian? Oh can you guys spot me? I was about to throw a 9kg ball. Ehe.

I got a Puma voucher worth RM50 upon collecting my press kit and another RM200 voucher for winning the game in second place. It’s like a flashback, 2 years ago I won first prize for bowling also during my company annual dinner. Did I tell you that bowling is the only sport that am kinda good at? Heee.

Foodie team. Boooo. Songbirdz awesome!  (hahaha ni namanya frust menonggeng tk menang nombor 1)

Am looking forward for Puma grand finale event which is in December. Too bad this time round I won’t be able to bowl because the competition will be among the winning team only. Arghhh how I wish to get invited to play again. Hishhh. By the way, the winning group is Foodie and I have no idea how they managed to surpass Songbirdz scores, because we were actually leading for the first half.

A week’s worth of stories

Oh boy, time is indeed luxury for me. I can’t seem to find a proper time to sit down and write entry for my blog. Lots of things happening and if I don’t update now, nnt more things happen and lagi tk larat nk update secara pukal. Last2 semua cerita jadi basi and unrecorded. Since siang-siang ni time for me hog the pc very limited, coz I have a very demanding child under my care, need to feed him and so on, so I will just update short summary of my activities (FYI I didn’t manage to finish up my entry, now dah malam dah pon…haihhh)

Last week Raya haji kan? My husband cuti till Wednesday, so long weekend for us. Petang raya haji kami balik ke kampung saya. Then on Tuesday we went to Air Keroh Malacca Zoo. Nnt I cerita more details in my next entry ok.

Then hari Jumaat, I was invited to Puma event at Cosmic Bowl Midvalley. Went there with my husband. Lama dah tk main bowling, so lepas gian main 2-3 round. I met many other bloggers that I know at the event too. I feel good when socializing and get to know new friends, should consider to do this more often. Also more details about Puma event in next next entry

Pastu hari Sabtu was so busy with event preparation. Went to buy flowers, fabric and finishing up some painting works. Since some of the event details were sent to me pretty last minute, I ended up tk tido malam tu siapkan semua kerja and when Ahad menjelma terus jer pergi site and deco. Lepas tu balik qada tidur. Hehe. My customer ordered simple deco for aqiqah, she also ordered some lollichocs and 2-piece dress from Nilam Boutique. Pendek kata semua air tangan I. Hehe. Ok nnt cerita lagi in details in next next next entry ok.
