Fashion illustration inspired by Syomir Izwa

I received a new order for “kurung moden” which inspired from Syomir Izwa’s design for Yuna. I changed the design a bit to suit my customer though, especially for the sarong I give it a little more glam look by adding reversible tail and I’ve also changed the mundane cutting of “kurung moden” to princess cut. Other than that customer also had specifically requested for 3D fabric flowers just like the one that I did for my previous customer. You can read my post regarding the 3D fabric flowers here.

So, here is the sketch, I drew this when I was at my kampung. I always feel more relax and comfortable to draw when I’m far away from town or big city. Sound like mengada kan? Macam lah I ni pelukis handalan yg memerlukan inner piece utk menghasilkan lukisan ajaib…so just bear with me lah yer…huhu

I’m going to design a matching hijab/tudung for this attire, so stay tune for the sketch ok. Insyallah will upload it soon.

Oh btw, recently I created a new blog . You guys can also contribute to the blog by emailing me the stuff that you want me to post in that blog. The idea to create that blog kinda came to me spontaneously, when I was sooo sooo upset with my messy and unorganized computer. Things that I put up on that blog was among things that contributed to my computer messiness. I’m so glad and relief as all those quotes, cartoon and stuffs finally had a new home now. I won’t be writing anything there (except when I terlebih rajin) , I wanna keep it simple. Don’t forget to bookmark it ok!

Newborn Photography

Utk julung-julung kalinyaaaaaaaaa, I got the chance to photograph a newborn! My son dulu pon I tkder shoot sendiri, because I got my DSLR camera 2 months after he was born. And when my friend Fid requesting me (sort of lah hahaha) to shoot her newborn nephew, I straight away said ok. Walaupon ada sedikit goosebumps, because this would be my first paid photography job ever. I never offer or advertise my photography service before due to few reasons.

First is because I think my gadget (camera, lighting and so on) is not good enough and I cuma ada satu camera dan 2 lenses sahaja. Yg satu tu pon I jarang guna, sbb range dia mcm too short, amik jauh2 sikit tk boleh. Lampu and benda2 lain semua tak der ok. Due to that, yg buat I refuse to shoot for a paid customer. I rasa mcm unfair for them. Secondly, I think my photography skill biasa-biasa sahaja. Malu nk charge orang dgn skill yg biasa-biasa. Photography is not just about point a camera and shoot. It’s all about creativity and art. Owning a set of high tech photography gadget is only to help you to get a better picture, but the rests are all coming from creativity and art of seeing. Some thing like technique and tips, it can be learn but creativity and art it has to be natural! U got to “feel” it when you shoot. Yeah I shoot by feeling. Huhu.

So since I know Fid for quite sometime already, very supportive friend and jenis yg sempoi2, so I agree. Kalau customer yg cerewet bagai, sekian terima kasih. Hihi. Tak berani haku.

To Fid, I owe you so much for this great opportunity. I really really appreciated it. Walaupon I wanted to take more and shot yang I nak tu tk sempat nk shoot, sbb baby berak bagai hahaha, but I had such a wonderful time photographing the baby. Nnt boleh snap lagi, tapi without your mom around lah hahaha. Kesian dia tkleh tahan tgk cucu baru lahir 2 hari “didera” . Tapi baby tu cool pandai posing

To all, enjoy all these photos taken at Prince Court Medical Centre, photo editing all done by me as well. Actually I got a special and unique idea for a nice baby poster, but didn’t manage to get the shot as we were running of time yesterday. My attempt to set my own trademark sebenarnya poster tu. Hihi. Tak tahu lah jadi ker tak. Well…let’s hope the baby could come to my house and pose for me for a couple of shots. So I can show to your guys my idea tu, very pretty and cute kalau jadi

Thanks Fid for the payment, adalah terasa pelik dapat bayaran utk photography works. Yay! I have decided to use ladyimran ClickPhotos brand for my photography, so sama dgn my twitter name, my commercial fashion designer name, my yahoo mesengger nick and many more. Mmg I’ve been using that nick for as long as I can remember. So, ladyimran ClickPhotos is another product by ladyimran. Wow sound very promising hihi. Oh btw, when I was about to leave the hospital, I saw Ramli MS sitting on the couch at the lobby. Huhu. And malam tadi pergi makan dekat A&W, i nampak tv host, I tatau nama dia, he’s a guy. Hari bertembung dengan celebriti kah?

Event Deco & Convocation

I’m in the mood to blog so..lets blogging! I dekat rumah my parents ni, as usual it’s kinda wajib to balik kampung once or twice a month. Plus, today is my brother’s convocation day, so lagilah wajib balik Congrats to my brother for his Master in hmm…Kejuruteraan Pembuatan? Sorry bro kalau silap. Huhu. Seeing him in his graduation robe made me feel like I wanna do master too, but hmmm…study isn’t my thing lah. Maybe if I were to pursue master, I need to choose project type course rather than exam. I hate exam. Period.

My brother kinda sengal, masa nk amik scroll dia boleh pose lebih2 depan kamera mcm orang kasi derma RM10k, lepas tu lupa nk amik his scroll. Sampai chancellor tanya tanak ker scroll ni? Wahahah sengal sengal sungguh. Insyallah in the next few years amik Phd pula, boleh lah akak tumpang gaji Phd kau yer. Sila jangan lupa jasa akak beli bouquet bunga ada patung smurf tadi.

Oh ha talking of convo bouquet. Waaaaaaa banyaknyaaaaa best2! Kenapalah zaman haku grad dulu bouquet semua boring2. Just ada bunga, paling2 ada bear jer. Sekarang ni macam-macammmmmm and lawa-lawaaaaaa. Walaupon ada sedikit pelik tengok patung2 Angry Birds mendominasi semua bouquet dan belon2, sbb apakah kaitan Angry Birds dengan convocation eh? But yet mmg melambak Angry Birds, semua pon Angry Birds. So, I was having a great time choosing a bouquet for my brother. I don’t want it to be all flower bouquet, sbb come onnnn..apa la nk buat dengan bunga2 tu nanti kan? Mmg cantik but…rosak cam tu jer. So, I prefer yg ada bear ker. Ada banyak yg ada POOH with mortar hat tu, tapi rasa mcm POOH too common lah. Then cari2, jumpa Smurf! Alamak I love Smurf so much! Tapi takder plak yg I rasa cam related to convocation, then terjumpa Smurf yg pakai spec tu, yeah the Brainy Smurf. Looks nice and adalah ciri-ciri genius tu kan. So, I bought that. Here a picture of my brother looking so pandai with the Smurf. Hahah.

UTEM 7th Convocation

After that I terus ke Melaka cari kain for my customer punya baju (Nilam Boutique) , apparently kain satin for lining warna cream very difficult to get. I dah cari at few kedai dekat PJ, semua out of stock, then was thinking to look for it at Jakel, sure ada kan, but then I nk balik kampung pula, so dah alang-alang went to Malacca today, so I just beli dekat Melaka jer lah. I found the kain that I want, but couldn’t find fabrics for table runner. Oh sebelum I cerita berjela-jela ni, I was actually appointed to prepare event decorations as well as baju for my customer’s kenduri (aqiqah) in November, so sekarang tengah buat preparation. Seriously event deco? Me? Yup! I can do event deco also, in fact I love decorating so much Many suggest me to consider to become an event planner, hmmm…not now kot, still immature. Event planner lagi banyak responsibility and kerja nk kene buat, so for the time being I think I just wanna focus on decorations only.

Look at these fabrics, nampak mcm senang nk dapat these fabrics from any textile shops kan? But after facing frustration after frustration, I got to change my mind. It wasn’t that easy especially when I had to look for it at every shops that I know in the rain!!! The weather was kinda pretty bad lately, hmm not bad actually, in fact I prefer rain that hot weather. But yeah, it’s rather hard to move in the rain especially for a mengelupur person like me, with the umbrella, handbag, keys, fabrics and whatnot.

Finally, I manage to get hold of these fabrics. There are so many choices! Ada banyak colour and rasa nk beli semua , but at the end I just buy what I need, not what I want. Nnt nak try cari dekat KL pula kain-kain ni. Mesti ada, I just need to look for it harder. Now, that’s why you need to appoint an event deco person, because they will look for things that you don’t know where to get and don’t have time to scout for it.

3D Fabric Flowers

I know .. i know…i know, lama tk blog. Mcm malas sikit nk blog 3-4 hari ni. Busy pon yer, discover new thing pon yer, excited pon yer, malas pon yer…hahaha, lengkap package. I tried to update my blog last night, tapi tertidur pulak. Normally malam2 , if I tk buat kerja design, I akan tengok sewing video tutorial and baca tentang art and marketing berjam-jam and browsing for new creative ideas and yada yada yada. I love internet so much. It makes learning lots way easier than previous days. Dulu-dulu kalau nk tahu about something or nk belajar , we got to enroll for a class or find/hire a teacher to teach, but now things have changed..everything is just a click away. Hail to modern technologies!

I got to be quick, sbb ni curi-curi masa while Ichiro is asleep. I love my son so much Looking at him sleeping, really really made me so calm and bersyukur dengan anugerah tuhan yang satu ini utk saya. Hope I can get more, huhuhu. Insyallah, doakan Dan saya juga bersyukur diberikan peluang bersama anak setiap hari. I mean, saya bersyukur kerana bukan senang dulu nk buat keputusan berhenti kerja. I was extremely uncertain at that time but kinda forced myself to, because what choice do I have masa tu pon? Pilihan ada, but not favourable to me lah.

Ok seriously I need to cut this entry real short. So enough talking , here few pictures of my latest design for Nilam Boutique customer. “Kurung moden” with 3D fabric flowers and pearls. I waited at my sister’s house till 3am for 2 consecutive days to finish this up. The first night, we spent time for briefing and discussion, second night my sister sewn all the flowers and pearls on the neckline. The first flower was made by me, I made a sample and my sister continue making the rest of the petals and form the flowers. The color of fabric, pearls, type of pearls and arrangement of the flowers are all designed by me. That’s why I waited till 3am as I need to monitor the whole process, so that, everything can be done correctly the way I want it to be. Yup rather than jahit2 salah, kene bukak, I sanggup tunggu and guide my sister. First time ni jerlah, second time nnt dah senang sikit, I can just draw.

To those yg berminat utk tempah baju with bunga-bunga comel ni, can contact me. There are many types of flowers that we can make, insyallah soon I will come out with new design. Harga berbeza, mengikut jenis material yg digunakan, fresh water pearls yg I guna ni limited stock, kalau dah habis got to use different kind of materials, then cara jahitan pon berbeza. Kalau nk yang very neat n tidy for the scatter beading, yg tu mahal sikit lagi lah. Kalau tk kisah pasal jahitan asal nampak cantik jer then use cara jahitan yg mudah sket.

If you just nk revamp your old kurung pon boleh, i can just do the neckline or sleeve part. Or kalau nk entirely new, can tempah tailored made kurung moden including the detailing from me For baju wedding pon boleh juga sangat2 cantik!
