Custom made shoes

I like this boots. If I were to make one for myself, I want it to have zipper at the back, for easy wearing. And another thing. am not sure whether I can walk in high heels for long period, so perhaps I can change the heels to wedge type/platform. I know high heels looks chic and sexy, but at this age, I prefer shoes that is comfortable and worth buying, not only for a nice display on my shoe rack. Oh I sound sooo old…I know, I know.

Remember that day I wanted to order a pair of raya shoes for myself? And also for my customer, to be worn on her wedding day? I’ve been looking hi and lo for a shoemaker, locally especially, but to no avail. Hmm..ok let me rephrase, not that there are no shoemaker available in Malaysia, but they don’t seem to fit the bills. Here’s why…

Case 1 : Famous internet shoemaker, she has experience in making thousands of shoes in various shape and design. She seemed perfect to make my customer shoes and we’ve finalized the order and full payment has been sent to her. Downside, she replied my email too slow, sometimes it takes up to 2 days for her to reply my email and also she insists for payment to be paid first without checking the availability of the material. A day after I sent full payment she emailed me and inform that certain materials are not available. So, with halfheartedly, I request to change the material to another type of material….and I was furious when she get back to me and told me , the new material that I chose was also not available. I told her kindly, she should check availability of the materials before saying yes and with that I request my money to be refunded.

Case 2 : She’s not a famous internet shoemaker but she’s in her own league. She’s an award winner in shoe-making field has been featured in tv previously. I found her through internet though. The first day, I sent her messages through whatsapp, discussion went pretty well. I sent her email details of the shoes that I wanted to order and she said she will check it later. But…until today I didn’t get any reply from her and my whatsapp messages also was left unanswered. I really really hate vendor/seller who failed to respond to email/msgs soonest. So, I got to cancel my intention to order the shoes from her. And yesterday, she sent me a message , apologize for the late reply and request me to resend the email. I was like….haaa? After a week baru nk ckp email tk dpt? I didn’t answer her, coz I’m still mad. Huh.

Case 3 : She just a middle person. But she claimed that she can designed shoes as well. Her shoemaker is from Indonesia and she often ordered shoes from Indonesia and get it posted to Malaysia. So, I sent her email for the details of the shoes and text her to inform that email has been sent. I didn’t get any reply from her and after 4-5 days, she suddenly texted me and said she didn’t get my email. Whoaaa..after 4 days? Come onnnnn. I really don’t get it, kenapa seller/vendor not that concern about responding to email/msgs as quickly as they could. It seemed correspondence ain’t important to them. I don’t know lah, because if my style, selalu bila I dpt email….I akan jawab secepat mungkin. Sometimes within few minutes after I received email from customers. But then, I said..oh ok, I’ll resend. After that discussion went pretty well and fast, till I asked for sample pictures shoes yg pernah dibuat before I transfer my payment. She sent me few pictures, but gambar2 tu semua taken from catalog or internet. I cakap, I nk gambar yg real yg kasut dah siap dibuat not gambar reference. Sbb from reference picture I cannot check the quality and workmanship, plus I nk tengok hasil duplikasi kasut2 tu dari original design. Tapi sampai hari ni, I didn’t hear from her, my msgs and phone call tk berjawab. So, bye bye. Not interested anymore.

All three offered me the same price for the shoes, but all three failed in responding in time and at the end of the day, no one get my order.

I’m still looking for shoemaker and I was this closeeeeee to find the right one yesterday. I have another 3 options this time, but am kinda hooked with this particular shoemaker, hope discussion with her goes well. Another 2 shoemaker has already replied me with price and waiting days. I would keep that as back up. So, let’s hope I could hear great news from the third shoemaker. If everything in order, insyallah I can start taking orders for custom shoes pula…expanding business. Insyallahhhhh. Sebabnya, dah susah cari tukang kasut sampai mcm ni sekali, it would be a waste kalau I tk buat business, lagipon it’s related to what I’m currently offering to my customers. Semua tentang fashion adalah related.

pssstttt …sample tudung for Nilam latest design will arrive tomorrow. I really can’t wait, I know…can’t expect it to be perfect because normally for new design, need to adjust and modify few times, but as long as the first sample dah ready, next step dah senang dah.
