Ever since I started venture into “the brand” business and working full time as health distributor, slowly I develop an interest towards health. From time to time , I will make a point to spare some times reading health materials to gain more knowledge so that I could share with my friends or customers to serve them better.
I used to think health materials is too plain boring and mundane. Such an ignorance brat I was. Haha. But yeah, people do change kan?
So, I wanna share some infos regarding “Joint Health” or “kesihatan sendi” in Bahasa [I nk try buat weekly post on health topics, tapi selaluuuuu jer terbabas] which I’d retrieved from Mingguan Malaysia newspaper. It may help those who has problem with joints.

As mention in the above article “Glucosamine” is the key arsenal to maintain your joints. So, let me summarize up content of the above article;
- 60% female and 70% male will experience osteoarthritis once embark to 65 years old or earlier than that. Osteoarthritis (OA) also known as degenerative arthritis or degenerative joint disease, is a group of mechanical abnormalities involving degradation of joints
- Factors contributed to osteoarthritis are obesity and actively involve in physical activities [sports man]
- Other than taking supplement, losing some weight will also help to reduce the excessive pressure on the joints.
- Glucosamine sulfate is a chemical that is found in the fluid around your joints. Glucosamine derived from seashells or produced in a laboratory is used for a variety of conditions, including arthritis. In the fluid around your joints, glucosamine sulfate helps strengthen the cartilage that cushions your joints.
Warning : People who are allergic to shellfish should not take glucosamine.
By now you should already understand a little bit on what is glucosamine and its benefits. Senang faham tu, sbb simple language jer. I nyer vocab pon limited and seldom use bombastic words, sbb takut end up haku sendiri pon tk faham nnt. Hehe. Shame on me.
Truth is glucosamine not only beneficial to elderly and sports man, myself also actually owe “the brand” glucosamine supplement so much. Due to my overweight problem before during pregnancy, I had suffer great pain at my joints especially ankle, fingers, toes and both knees.
Even sekarang ni, kalau I ingat2 balik, boleh terasa ngilu sendi-sendi I. Mmg sakit tuhan saja yg tahu. Waking up in the morning from long slumber at night was a nightmare, my knees and fingers are killing me. I can’t stand up on my own and in need of support to straighten my leg properly, I walk like a cripple duck and can’t use my fingers for even light duty task such as memusing tombol pintu. Yeah….that bad!
