Love~Hate Twitter

Ok, I know am so degil, I suppose to sleep by now actually, but dunno what’s keeping me wide awake this late…haihh it really requires mountain of effort to change a habit. In my case, I wanted to sleep early at night and live long [as last few days I read an article in newspaper and it said that people who gets less than 6 hours sleep at night more likely to die fast...whaddaaaaa, confirm la haku mengelupur lepas baca tu]

So, am trying hard to sleep early, but till now as I type -obviously I failed. This is no good, I must try harder…err tomorrow.

I was blog hopping and read on a very interesting topic here about blog + twitter and facebook. Great post Millie! You shouldn’t let your blog berhabuk again cos ur blog has just added 1 more follower/fan —> me!

Ever since Twitter started to make a hit to social media users, many bloggers found that Twitter is so much easy and simpler than blog. No exception to yours truly as I do think the same too. Many said Twitter is the new blog, or Twitter is the new Facebook or Twitter is the new whateverrrrr…

I got my very own opinion on this topic and allow me to share okeh.

I love Twitter because..

easy to update my status
great platform to share small things in between major blog posts
can make money also thru ads. tapi skang saya sudah malassssss mahu compose ads. hihi.
easy to access thru handphone and pc software
perfect media to stay connected on the go
can share pic and video also, how cool is that?
can simply menyampuk org lain punye tweet and make new friend instantly! even celebrities and perdana menteri malaysia. hehehe…
sharing links thru twitter is brilliant! banyak org curious akan click and ur followers can retweet and their followers plak akan click and then retweet..u know spreading like a virus!
hmm what else? the best part, it’s free la

I hate Twitter because..

my readers prefer to comment on my entry via twitter [lucky I got the twitoaster thingy that could relay comment made on twitter back to my blog post, but some didn't get through] Tapi not that I marah la org komen via twitter, I ok jer…sbb kenelah akur dengan perkembangan teknologi heee, sbbnyer I pon kadang2 komen via twitter jugak. Cumanya I terfikir…kalau lah Twitter tidak wujud, sure tkder channel lain for readers to comment except blog kan? Lain lah kalau org rajin nk SMS and komen pasal blog. Hehe. Ada ker?
Somehow it also lessening blog reader’s excitement towards new entry/post. Because often they will get mini updates [or sneak peek] via twitter. So mcm dah tahu or dah boleh agak, jadinya tk berapa nak surprise. From now on, no mini updates or sneak peek thru twitter lagi from me. Hee. Wpun adalah tidak tahan mahu bercerita….but l love my blog more than my twitter. Blog ada hmmm..nostalgic value
hmm what else? I can’t think other than the above la…sbb saya nk cepat tido ni. Dah pukul 3.20am. Kalau korang ada benda nk tambah, silalah tambah ok.

Conclusion, I still prefer and love blog, since I think I can express myself better here. Macam kad hari raya tulisan tangan dengan kad hari raya versi SMS. Yg mana you all rasa lebih mendalam makna kata-katanya?

Surely kad yg tulisan tangan kan? Sbb nyer org yg tulis kad tu, takes extra miles to get the card send to you seperti mencari pen utk menulis, sekali pen tk jumpa, dah jumpa pen tkder ink pulak, terpaksa cari another pen, then tk jumpa, susah2 sangat gi kedai beli pen kilometrico baru, kalau nasib baik tkder aral lagi baru lah boleh tulis sepatah dua kata. Itupon kalau tulisan tk cakar ayam, boleh la buat sekali terus siap, kalau cakar ayam, nk kene padam 2-3 kali sampai lunyai kad. Lepas tu nk kene cari gam, nk gi beli stamp then nk gi pos…Panjang ceritanya beb..

And masihkah ingat pantun femes? Nostalgic ok pantun ni..

To cut it short, it requires such a HUGEeeeeeee effort ok to get the card posted. Terharu ok, lelebih lagi bila ur chenta hati yg willing to go thru the hassle to send the card. Itu belum lagi kad buatan sendiri. Imran pernah hantar kad bentuk ketupat eons ago and I still keeping it now. Yer betul bentuk ketupat yer kawan-kawan, sgt tk lawa kad tu. Tapi I sayanggggg bangat!

But today, ucapan selamat hari raya dengan corak-corak meletup bagai [sungguh kreatif] boleh forward within few clicks jer. Kalau I dpt, then I delete or worst tgk kt preview inbox jer, kalau ada SMS yg sama before tu, tkkan nk baca benda yg sama over and over again yer tak? So, simply delete without reading.

Basically my experience using twitter ni…more to love hate experience la. Once in blue moon, I feel like deleting my twitter, but on second thought tk jadi…for now come follow lah me on twitter here is the link. Ehe.

To blogger[s] who’s reading this, I share mine already, what’s ur verdict?

Tak dinafikan sejak ada Twitter ni, macam dah tak tau nak tulis apa kat blog. Walaupun Twitter boleh tulis pendek je, tapi kadang rasa cukup untuk menyampaikan apa yang nak disampaikan. For me, i update Twitter berdasarkan apa yg i dok buat/rasa at that time. Ye lah, tak kan nak berak, update blog, nak makan, update blog. Get what i mean? Hehe. Beza dengan blog, i update ikut apa yg i buat/rasa jugak tapi lebih elaborate. Dan tak la nak berak or makan ke apa ke pun nak update kat blog. Hehe.

yup berak, kentut, tido tengahari semua tu mcm small-small things yg happen in your life la kan, mcm tkleh la nk blog pasal tu. that’s when twitter comes in handy. to let you update small things happen to you in between major blog posts.

blog i rasa more to benda2 besar yg berlaku, such as gi konsert ker, vacation ker, or nk share article or anything la yg involve terlalu banyak perkataan and u tkleh summarize all in 140 words.

tapi zaman dulu-dulu, berak, kentut bagai…ada org kisah? haha tapi zaman sekarang sudah berubah….

to be honest i pon tk berapa tahu nk tweet apa, i selalu menyampuk tweet org jer. and i kagum dgn org2 yg byk idea nk tweet unlike me yg just byk reply tweet org. nk tweet sendiri enggak ada idea..

yer silalah update selalu and letak gambar banyak2 gambar bakul pon ok jugak. twitter tu cuma followers jer yg tahu cerita, plus semua updates ringkas dalam 140 words. so bila u nk express feeling and elaborate jadi tk begitu puas so marilah kembali ke pangkal jalan, blog rawks!

i love to blog so much..suke laa nak tulis-tulis n merepek2. Tapi skang update seminggu skali jek sbb tiada masa di opis n di rumah..kalau kat opis tu tgh xde keje..siap gigih wat draft entry utk blog. kat opis i blogspot&wordpress semua kene blocked..tp blog u sbb gune .com(webhost) x kene blocked..hehehe

helo yew, lama tk muncul, tapi i stalk blog u selalu la jugak. hehe tahu la cerita pasal toaster “keting” and everything. u mcm tahu2 i rindu u, tiba2 smlm order usana heee. tu la blogging ni mmg tough sebenarnya. mcm entertainer. u got to do your homework and prepare presentation yg bagus utk entertain readers kan.

ayu, i takde lagi twitter account. i mmg lambat bab2 nak follow IT trend. nak sign up ke tak yer? but i agree, that blog cannot be replaced by anything else. u know la kan, i takde twitter… so i byk update kat FB. lama2 rasa x best. n i agree, mebe twitter lebih sesuai utk update the small2 things yg x payah nak explain byk2. nak tweet ke tak.. na tweet ke tak.. hmph.

i luv both twitter and blog..but when i dun hav enuff time to blog twitter will do…i used to twitter as daily basis..kdg2 bile emo kat tmpat keja pon letak kat twitter haha klu blog lmbt sket nk update kang bos perasan lak hehe

i think i suka twitter lg. i sudah fedup blogging(even though i used to like blogging n still do rite now) after that incident(u know which 1 i’m referring to).

somehow i need a medium to express my feelings baru la rasa lega. mcm hari ni dah berak ke belum takde i la i update kat twitter, i just update my husband about that. ada jugak few things yg i rasa tak perlu nak update my husband, so i just tweet about it.

lgpun rasanya sedara mara i yg busybody tak tau pun twitter ni menatang apa. i just remove all my tweetpost yg appear kat FB. sgt benci sedara mara yg suka nak bg nasihat(more like arahan) itu ini & selagi kita tak ikut nasihat dia selagi itulah dia akan membebel tak sudah.

you still can blog, tapi kene private. but then again it defeats the purpose of having and writing a blog la. blog suppose to be accessible by public. or hmm entah lah..org lain mungkin rasa tk suka jugak public read their blog and prefer private..it is all about preferences la i rasa.

twitter mmg ok kalau nk tweet feeling on the spot. sbb sometimes apa yg kiter rasa tu sekejap jer akan hilang. so mmg masa feeling tu muncul twitter mmg sgt mudah lah kan nk shout. nnt i pon nk suruh imran tweet jugak tapi tu la i lagi suka call kalau dgn husband. baru puas.

yg part sedara mara tu beb..mmg kt mana2 pon sama jer masalahnya. as if mcm kalau ikut arahan depa, result terbaek la. but kadang kala ada antara nasihat tu, bukan nasihat yg ikhlas dan genuine. lebih kepada nk kiter tk maju or silap buat pilihan yg akhirnya kiter yg regret. so kalau u rasa u tanak buat, buat derk jer la. lama2 senyap la kot. [kalau boleh senyap la..hehe]
