Ha’ah…care sangat la tu!
A reader of mine was asking about any supplement that could help her to increase her breast size. Oh no, don’t get me wrong this is not about getting boob jobs or plastic surgery. That’s soooooo pathetic plus am no playing Nip & Tuck [ehe]
Back to my customer, her breast is actually decreasing in size and of course she feels so sad, since she’s still young, so menopause isn’t likely the problem here. Mind you my knowledge is pretty limited since am not a doctor and never took any medic course before, surely I need to google up for some infos and from my findings apparently deficiency in estrogen might cause her breast to shrink! Read below;
Some physicians maintain that a woman’s breasts shrink because of the deficiency in estrogen. When estrogen declines, skin in general becomes less elastic, thins and tends to become dehydrated, which can result in smaller, sagging breasts. However, many menopausal women will tell you that their breasts have increased in size, which may be due to weight gain or simply a shift in weight or some other factor that the researchers haven’t yet found.
What Estrogen does anyway? Well..in simple and easy explanation that I could think of, generally it makes breast bigger, read below;
Estrogen levels increase as a woman gets ready for her menstrual period. Estrogen fires up the milk ducts in the breasts during the menstrual cycle, which makes her breasts get bigger and sometimes results in soreness and tenderness, which is referred to as mastalgia. When a woman ovulates, progesterone is produced and this causes her to retain fluids, which makes her breast tissue swell and her breasts will get bigger as a result. Working in tandem, estrogen actually increases the amount of breast tissue whereas progesterone causes the breasts to fill up with fluid, resulting in a rather noticeable size increase at times.

One common solution to deal with this is taking the estrogen hormon replacement therapy (HRT). However, there are too many downside of estrogen such as breast cancer,risk of ovarian cancer, thinner bones and many more until I think it is best to avoid. You can refer here list of articles regarding risk of taking the estrogen. Apparently estrogen is also main ingredient in birth control pills which being consumed by millions of woman all over the world! I got the shock of my life and I can’t thank myself enough to ban the birth control pills since errr…..born I guess? Yeah, I never like the idea of taking birth control pills. Shall I want to “control” birth, I do it manually.
Is there any safer solution to deal with this hormone problems? Since I always believe in supplement and how effective [sometimes works better than prescribed drugs] it was to put certain diseases or abnormality under control, therefore my suggestion is always to eat your dietary vitamins don’t skip and also eat healthily. Read below on how normal vitamins or supplements can be your one holy grail solution for hormonal problems such deficiency in estrogen.
- Support your thyroid function with selenium and zinc. Low thyroid can cause fatigue, weight gain, dry skin and headaches. Selenium and zinc help the body utilize the thyroid hormone
- Use iodized salt. Iodine provides an essential component of thyroid hormone. If you exclude salt from your diet, eat seaweed or saltwater fish. You can also take 100 mcg of iodine daily as a supplement.
- Take vitamin B supplements to increase your adrenal gland output. If you have adrenal gland insufficiency, you can feel irritable, light-headed and hypoglycemic. Your body needs vitamin B to produce adrenal hormones, so take 500 mg of vitamin B5 a day and 100 mg of vitamin B6.
- Ask your doctor to check your chromium levels. Chromium helps the hormone insulin to deliver glucose to cells throughout the body. If you have low chromium levels and insulin resistance, fat cells retain the sugar, which increases the risk for diabetes and heart disease.
- Increase your intake of biotin-rich foods. This B vitamin decreases the risk of insulin resistance. Biotin-rich foods include animal sources like poultry, dairy products and fish.Enhance your body’s ability to process estrogen with vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and choline. These vitamins and minerals support liver’s ability to excrete excessive estrogen.

You also may need Calcium as your estrogen level decreases, your body begins to lose bone mass. This is common during menopause. If your estrogen levels drop too low, you may develop osteoporosis, a condition in which your bones become brittle. To keep your bones strong, your body needs estrogen, calcium and vitamin D.
Nature of supplement it always takes longer time to produce results but it is worth the wait. You don’t really want a shortcut to everything, donch ya?
