Twitter in Plain English

Guys, I found this video when I was searching for something on the internet (I think I was looking for wordpress plugins). It is a video demonstrating what is twitter all about in interesting way I should say. Easy to understand and the drawings kinda cute.

To those who still wee bit clueless on what is twitter and pretty skeptical towards this particular social media, I encourage to watch the video. Hey u got nothing to lose plus you would surely enjoy the hand sketch cartoon drawing.

As for me, I can be consider as an avid fan of twitter. My tweet now is about to reach 4000 tweets and counting. Thanks to twitter client software I should say as without those software I don’t think I can tweet that much and I don’t think I would heart twitter at all. Twitter was originally a web base social media, whereby you need to open a browser, login and start tweeting.

But thing is, to tweet at the web is pretty messy and there’s no notification whenever people reply your message, mention your name in their tweet or direct message you (direct message means, the message is for your eyes only, your followers or your friend’s followers can’t see the message, it’s like email just that it is in 140 characters, pretty short uh? that’s the thrill…hehe).

Therefore, without notification , I found it difficult for me to cope with all the tweet that’s coming in. Especially now semua orang sgt pantas tweet! and shall you follow generous number of people, for sure your screen will full with tweet in split seconds. But of course to create a new twitter account, you must first visit Twitter website and create your account there lah.

So, that’s when twitter client software comes in handy. After signing up, we can just forget about the website and use software instead. I use 2 different software for twitter for few reasons that I chose not to disclose here, not because I wanna be secretive or what, it just that am just too plain lazy to explain. Huhu. Malas nk taip panjang. Ini pon dh panjang dah ni.

Here goes few screenshots of Twhirl product of Seesmic and Echofon that I use for twitter (am using MAC version for both) . There are many more like TweetDeck, Digsby and etc. So, that’s all.
