Digi Broadband Second Review

I will follow you!

Ok since there are so many of you had requested to me to do another review on Digi Broadband, so here goes my latest review of Digi Broadband.

Digi Broadband continuously giving me good internet connection and I have no complain so far. NO COMPLAIN (notice the caps?) hehe. Yeah, am a satisfy user of Digi and would like to recommend it for those who are ;

1) frustrated with your current wireless broadband service
2) thinking of getting one for yourself but do not know which service provider you should go for, since we are truly spoil with numerous number of “bad” choices actually. Ha ha.
3) looking for affordable plan that start from hmm i think around RM50 ish a month. But mine is RM108 per month, which is the medium package. They have another package specially tailored for heavy internet user and who download lot of stuff from internet everyday

For all package, it comes with free modem. However, be sure to check on the coverage for your area first before buying. There are certain areas aren’t covered by DIGI or has a very poor signal. For example industrial area. Shall your office situated at the industrial area, I would highly advice to check with DIGI first.

For PJ area [my house area] the connection is pretty awesome. Love it and encounter no problem so far with the connection. Even at my hometown in N9, I can still surf the internet using DIGI but the speed is somewhat slow. But am ok with that, because I have been informed before hand by the SA what kind of speed that I should expect at my “kampung” house.

Been using it for about hmmm 6 months [wow that half a year already] and I would say am a happy user of DIGI BROADBAND. Please don’t ask me how fast the speed and so on, because frankly speaking I don’t know. I’m not a technie’ kind of person. What I know, I can open multiple browser, tab, chatting, update blog and download stuff simultaneously. Roughly i can open 1 website page and fully load the page in within 10-15 seconds [ i guess so lah]

DIGI also has 7 days return policy. You can quickly return the modem and terminate the service if you think DIGI is not for you. My entry is solely base on my own experience using DIGI and am neither a staff nor affiliate of DIGI.

So happy choosing your mobile/wireless broadband!

p/s: to Digi , you guys should pay me for this entry or waive my bills :P

mungkin la coverage to ok kt situ, i wonder selalu org komplen2 the connection sucks sbb apa eh. sbb mcm coverage tu kan boleh check dulu before beli. or maybe masa beli tgk coverage ok for that area tapi bila pakai tk ok. mungkin la…

  3. oh.. we’ve never tried Digi. So far we’ve tried Maxis and Celcom. Both Broadband cannot be used in our home coz our residential area is some sort of “new” so the coverage is not so good.

Yesterday we’ve just installed our internet connection (with TM Streamyx), so far so good! :)

itu la ulu-ulu banat mmg susah sket kot….hehe tapi i ni kt kampung ulu banat gak ni. yup, streamyx i rasa yg paling ok, i pon ada streamyx wifi dekat rumah [mmg tembolok internet nih...hehe] , kadang2 dia down jugak, bila time down mmg sakit jiwa la nk contact support dia. giler susah nk call 100 tu, nk kene tunggu lama baru diaorg pickup, then suruh troubleshoot sendiri before they come and check the problem. how funny when they asked my mom to troubleshoot the laptop! sebaik mak i pandai jugak. other than that, no complain jugak la, and since streamyx ni mcm facilities dia banyak dekat malaysia, mintak2 diaorg upgrade la speed internet.

  8. salam,
Aku dulu dh pkai byk jenis BBand gak sbb nakkan kepuasan.
Celcom dah, maxis daaahhh,Digi Dahh,U mobile pun dah. tp P1 je x penah rs nak try. x minat bagak. So dlm byk2 BBand tuh yg plg puaaassss ati of coz Digi. X tahu eplain mcm mana. tp berbaloi2 la. aku x tipu…dan aku pun xde kepentinagn apa2 pn dgn digi kecuali sbgai pengguna yg berpuas hati dgn servis Digi BBand. BBand len hanya indah khabar dari rupa. Coverage luas tapi servis sempit.Cumanya aku dh terminate Digi sbb kat area rumah aku kat Hulu langat EDGE signal je. so tepaksalah terminate n amik streamyx(terpaksa)…tu 2 tahun lps…skang mgkin digi dah spread coverage dia n mgkin aku bercinta lg dgn digi lps ni…hahaha…okai

  9. Salam. Thank you very much for sharing this. I’m about to sign up with Maxis coz they offer free 1 week trial. I’m already using Streamyx at home & very satisfied with it. But I’m always travelling & meeting clients outside so I need a portable broadband. So now I will try Digi instead.

Btw like your coloured ‘follow me’ social media on the left side there. Mine is in grey… Which plugin are you using? ;-)

    Have a great holiday!

  10. Not for me! I have to say DIGI Boratband is my worst nightmare! Checked the coverage in Digi website and they advertised my area Jalan Bengkulang, Kepong Baru as BROADBAND AND 3G COVERED.

So I purchased their 10GB monthly package. Connect that stick and discovered I can only get no service, LIMITED SERVICE, UMTS AND 0 BAR HSDPA all time. Data transfer from Day 1 up to Day 5 (today) is LESS THAN 50KB/S. Compare that to their slogan ’700kb/s AVERAGE”.

Contacted their CS ppl multiple times and burnt almost RM100 hand phone bill. No solution up to now.

The Truth, The Whole Truth, and Nothing But The Truth!

  12. BUYER BEWARE!! I was conned by DIGI BROADBAND. I signed up for a pre-paid service and was later billed monthly as if I signed up for a post-paid plan. The salesman who was of indian descent assured me that I could top up whenever my credit ran out and there was no monthly payments. This was so UNTRUE!

I later received a letter from a debt collection company demanding 342.30 RM and wanting payment within 10 days.

I went to the DIGI office with the letter and informed them what had happened. They were not helpful in helping me resolve this matter. The representative said that they can only cut 142.30 RM from the bill. In other words, they wanted me to pay 200 RM to settle. Why should I pay for something I didn’t sign up for? Ridiculous!

This was a painful and frustrating experience. I will never do business with DIGI ever again!

  13. I have issues with digi broadband but i gues most of the issues can be atributed to the fact tat i’m subscribing to the lower end of their packages. But for what i’m paying i’ll have to say they provide good service. Occasional Edge 2G drop happens occasionally but the general speed b4 reaching limit quota is very good IMO compared to my experience using Other services.
