I am about to launch an online boutique soon. A handful of internet friends has been given some hints. the rest remains clueless 
Woman nowadays love to shop without a need to leave their house and struggle with traffic, parking fees, petrol and long queue. The rave on shopping online however, beneficial to many entrepreneur like myself, be it for a small or large scale business. But there’s always a setback. I used to shop online and one thing that really bothers me is the fact that I can’t try on the product before I decide to purchase it. Many times, I just depended on my god feeling and keep praying that the thing [mostly clothes] gonna fit me perfectly.
So, when it comes my turn to launch an online boutique, sizes and measurement of my products give me a severe headache. I can always opt to make a free size or 1 size fits all. But thing is, will it fits nicely? Can it really fits all? Often 1 size fits all, can’t really fits all. It’s only happen in fairy tales dear.
Since I love to imagine things [that is what people under the zodiak of cancer do best], I started to think how nice if I have a software or high tech designed computer that could turn the online shopping experience to be as close as possible to real experience, yeah like buying the product at the real mall/shop. What say you? Don’t you think it will be such a great invention? and great trend for future?
Here are details of what I have in mind about the online shopping in the future [to be more specific, my trend for future idea are best apply to online boutique]
The scan-gadget can be something like this
- I’m imagining there will be a computer gadget that could scan our entire body to capture our body exact measurement. The gadget is either pre-install to the computer or an add on accessories. The data can be upload to an online profile or store in the gadget. If she or he put on some weight or lose weight, they can always update the profile by scanning once again. This info can be shared by all online boutique available. The gadget should be about a size of the smallest thumb drive or can be worn as accessory like a sunglass perhaps?, so we can carry it everywhere we go! Awesome!
How about trying the item virtually?
- Perhaps the same gadget also able to project a hologram image showing a reflection of the customer wearing the item they want to buy. By this way, they can see how the item gonna fit them and whether not they like what they see. Would it be great? Kalau tk dpt beli dapat acah-acah pakai pon ok gak kan? And kalau ada hologram image tu, boleh amik gambar pastu tepek kat dalam blog and tulis caption “hey jgn jeles, I’m wearing Jimmy Choo!”
Imagine you making a big [really big] decision to buy a wedding shoes by Manolo Blahnik online. Understand that you gonna need to fork an hefty amount of money to buy the shoes. There’s no way for you to fly to London to try on the shoes since you can’t afford for the air ticket [but kinda weird uh, afford to buy the shoes but not the ticket??] So, the scan-hologram gadget thingy would really come in handy!
How it works then ?
a) Ok just login to the online shopping website.
b) Connect the gadget to the computer,
c) Browse the website, pick item that you like,
d) Click the WEAR [for example] button~at this time the gadget is sending your size info to the website
e) Once done, click PROJECT [for example] button and walla! you are now seeing a reflection of yourself [like a mirror] wearing the same shoes Jessica Parker has worn in the Sex In The City movie in front of your eyes.
Then do you like what you see? [kalau tk suka u must be crazy, it's Manolo ok], proceed to pay and wait for the shoes to be deliver and you will be the most envious bride ever live on earth..hehe [ok fine I'm exaggerating]
[Lepas habis wedding siap la makan pasir laki bini...hahahah]
- Owning an online shopping store in the future will be less headache since everything is computerized. Good news to clothing designer, to produce a custom order for clothing in future will be super easy. Just retrieve the particular customer measurement info [waist, bust line, etc etc] from the online profile, upload it to the computer. In the computer, there will be a clothing design software, feed the measurement info to the software and it will reproduce the selected design according to the new measurement. Once done and you are happy with it, click PRINT. No joke, it’s supa dupa easy. The custom design are now nicely printed on paper and ready for cutting and sewing. Isn’t it great?
It would be something similar to this, but my idea is for online boutique
Frankly speaking, our lifestyle in the future will be so much different from today. People will prefer something that is on the go, fast and easy access. With the gadget and clothing design software, I can shop anytime, anywhere I like and the clothing design software will help to get the perfect cut for each custom design. There will be no fitting session! Unless if my customer putting on weight 
And it also will cut down the unnecessary time spend on mistakes and alteration. If I know how to make a software and gadget, pretty sure I can make a fortune with these 2 invention.

hihihi i sooo like yr ideas… best..best.. sbb i pun always hv similar problems to estimate the size ke apa..bcoz sumtimes eventho it was our normal size but the cutting plk jadikan tak ngam..or if u like the design tp mybe tak seuai bcoz of yr height ke apa..
so for someone yg suka shop online (read:can get cheaper price) i would say i so agree la with this new tech/future trend… thumb up to u sbb can come out with this cazy yet great ideas… all the best to you

betul! mcm kasut vincci kan…wpun size u size 6 contohnya kan, then bila try kasut cutting lain, size 6 tu dah tk muat dah . meaning cutting lain size dia lain.

ok ok cool,.i suka idea you,dulu pun i pernah terfikir kalau kita boleh buat online bizz yg ada gadget camtu, pilih mana satu yang suka.,.preview,.pastu tgk dah ngam trus purchase je kan..kalau dapat buat cam touchscreen lagi bagus. kita bleh tgk diri kita dalam fitting room online bizz tu..then bleh drag drag je baju mana yang sesuai.,kasut yang match dengan baju, bila dah selesai,,preview semua dah cun..terus beli..wallahhhhhh..miracles!!!

oh yeah! touchscreen pon cool. mcm masuk walkin wardrobe, then u pick jer mana u nak..mana tanak drag keluar masuk recycle bin..hehe
yg i imagine tu bukan setakat dalam fiitin room website tu…u can even project the hologram image on site. i mean depan mata u bukan kt dalam computer lagi..baru nampak terangggg..hehe tapi dalam pc pon dah cukup terang jugak i rasa

I sgt sukaaaa idea nie !!! Coz online shopping is easy sizing mmg probs..One more thing, 1 size fits all tp sometimes the fit is nice, but the item makes us look bad. Not everyone can carry certain trends kan ? Ur idea is amazing tau…however, if we can add a virtual us in there so we can know how we will look wearing the item, lagi bagus. For example, kalau i beli grey skinny, I can load and see if my thighs will look thunderous in that skinny.

sangat bagus kalo kita boleh tengok reflect diri kita on that outfit sbb bukan saja boleh tau baju tu sesuai dengan kita atau tak dari segi designnye and wrnanye.
kan bagus kalo ade shopping web yang bg kita design what type of dress yang kita nak and waht clour we choose, then they will prepare for us..hehehe

i think bukan creativity yg drive me to came out with such idea….tapi i’m in dire need of it. sbb i rasa payah kalau teknologi kiter tak meluas and online shopping ni stagnant tkder development. maybe idea ni dah pernah ada kot, tapi i boleh jamin ni mmg idea fresh dari otak i la. hehe kalau mmg dah ada i tatau la kan. tapi yg penting i rasa kalau idea ni dh ada pon dia bukan trend lagi and tk digunakan secara meluas. mungkin not cost effective. so perhaps ada org boleh cipta somtehing yg affordable utk semua org guna.
betul2, kalau boleh jadikan dia mcm walk in wardrobe kan…pilih color pilih design then send utk tempah online. tu yg mcm i cakap u boleh feed your profile info to the designer and designer tu pon ada software canggih utk create the design in a jiffy! so tk perlu gaduh2 dgn tailor baju kawen, sbb hari tu nk nikah, pagi tu baru tailor pos baju guna teksi. hihih.

i memang tak suka beli baju/tudung/kasut online sebab masalah tu la.size!baju online i tak pernah beli.walaupon i memang suka kat baju tu sampai tergolek bawah katil,i takkan beli sebab i tahu,i memang ada part yg comel & selalunya kena try dulu baju tu baru boleh beli.sama jugak tudung,my fren yg jual tudung tu,i takkan beli kalau tak try!walaupon dia ada online shop,i just tengok2 je.tak pernah order selagi i tak try!heheheh…
so,kalau u berjaya dptkan gadget yang boleh scan badan i & lepas tu boleh try baju or tudung or anything la,bila ngam,baru puas ati & beli!
i just terbayang je i guna software tu & syok pilih2 baju mana nak.pastu sume nak beli!hahhahahha.
tp bagus jugak kalau u just amik ukuran & buat baju tu ikut ukuran kan.mcm leceh la skit kan klu camtu.sbb kot la takde software/gadget yang mcm u nak tu.hahahaha…

betul2, kalau nk beli tudung kt kawan u yg tk tunjuk muke depan tu lagi la payah…haha u kene teka2. tapi ok la u can always drop by her place kan.
remember our discussion pasal assistant robot tu? naya came out with brilliant idea, dia kata why not instead of robot hire bapuk terus. mcm dia boleh jaga kedai tu online, dat website tu ada option video and voice. so mmg feel real la! org yg jaga kedai website tu pon real jugak

mana tau u boleh masuk my online shoping website, pastu masuk2 jer ada muka i kt main page, then boleh dengar suara jugak. and boleh bergosip2 sambil shopping. boleh kasik komen u elok ke tak pakai baju yg u nk beli tu. kan kan? pastu ingatkan pasal hutang bulan lepas yg tk habis bayar lagi. hihi.

haa betul! dulu masa lepas preggie, i kan cam tong dram. masa nk beli baju sbb i nk gi meeting tkder baju langsung yg muat, so pergi la nk beli. u know what masuk banyak kedai semua tk elok baju pakai. then last masuk padini jer. and kt situ jer berejam sbb i kene try the baju 3 kali..3 different sizes. sbb i tatau dah size mana yg i boleh muat. sekarang ni pants i beli tu tersimpan dalam almari tk pakai sbb dah terlalu besar utk i pakai sekarang. huhu tgk pon ngeri. mmg buang masa n penat cari baju. online senang. kalau boleh ada invention utk tgk how the cloths gona fit u tu lagi best kan. tak suka boleh logout jer ,asuk kedai lain. hehe

oh lupa payment! credit card so far guna paypal mmg ok. tapi lagi best kalau ada gadget utk swipe credit card dekat computer. lagi selamat sbb kad tu ada pada kita. tapi i rasa in future kad2 ni dah tak ada dah. jenuh nk psang byk2 gadget dalam pc.

ur idea is actually doable in the future! u know how sekarang u can upload ur picture and then try on different hairstyles to see if they suit your face? urs is exactly the same! cuma this involves your whole body.
and now u can only ‘wear’ items on models so you can have a 360 degree view of the item. doesn’t help much coz it’s not your own body! you can only see how the item flows on a body, how big a handbag is compared to your height and such.
but sometimes it would be funny to upload ur image! imagine a person who normally wears a size M, trying on a size XXS hehehe! would the baju tersekat kat kepala? or would it fit but the baju tu akan nampak ala2 incredible hulk?

so true! kalau tgk model and mannequin mmg la cantik kan. but sarung kt kita belum tentu gorjes lagi. but i think kalau lah ada such invention kan, part yg u kata upload image and org size XXS nk masuk M tersekat dekat kepala, i rasa virtual assistant yg kiter chat tadi sure dah sound awal2 ” nyah tk muat tu nyah, jgn nk perasan badan slim”. And some more yg imagine is more than image. it is a complete profile every inch of your body tu diukur dan data2 tu nnt combine and akan keluar hologram berbentuk dan rupa sama dgn u. mcm clone la. cuma yg ni 3D hologram. boleh tgk tapi sentuh tk boleh.

aku rasa possible gak idea ni. wii pun dah comeout dengan exercise mat, personal trainer kita adalah wii! pehtu siap leh ukur berat kita, bmi kita. that technology still baffle my mind, hihi.
senang laa nak shopping macam tu. bleh tengok how we look in that outfit kan. kira macam 3rd party view tapi diri sendiri je yang tengok, hehe. even physical shopping pun, kita belek2 diri dalam cermin pun payah nampak 360 degree kan. kena patentkan idea ni, mintak orang yang guna technology ni bayar sorang sejuta, hahaha gila ah tamak haloba.

walauwehhh!!beshnya kalau leh shopping online mcm tu..so xyah la tengok salesgirl buat muka kalau kita try baju then x beli kan..plus xde lah takut nak masuk real superbranded boutique and the sales person tgk dengan pandangan hey ko mampu ke nak beli barang yang aku jual nih?pastu wat pandangan menghina kan..heheh…but 4 sure very costly kan kalau ada gadget yang leh scan2 kitanye measurement tu..neway i love ur idea penol…u go girl…

mmg lah sgt perlu gadget ni tuk org cam i:
1. dgn 3 kids yg bersepah2 mane lah nk ade mase berlenggang kangkung masuk kedai after kedai tuk cari baju. kang baru nk masuk the 2nd shop ade jer yg dah restless takleh stroller tu benti
2. i mmg tak reti nk tgk baju tu cantek if dlm byk2 kt kedai tu. tu sbb baju yg diorang gantung kt patun je yg i slalu nampak cantek, if gantung byk2 tu mata i pun trus rase tak tau nk tgk. if kt intenet they put the gmbar seketul2 senang tgk

i dh beli few times online sume sizing salah, mmg lah hampeh kan bazir jer duit beli tapi takleh pakai. benci tul

yup i think idea ni in favor utk semua2 org. especially utk a mother yg ada anak kecik2. i yg dulu tkder anak pon, nk pergi masuk one shop after another sbb nk cari baju then end up tk beli apa2 sgt frust n sgt tiring not to forget wasting time jugak.
and betul2, kalau gantung banyak2 tu mmg jenuh la cek sesatu and lagi satu yg bila buat offer diaorg gi lambak2 cam tu, wahhh mcm nk carik harta karun jer kene gali2. i kalau cam tu, dia kasik free pon i malas nk pergi berebut and tergali2 nk cari baju. malas!

Hahahahaha I pernah discuss benda nie dengan my best friend. Time tuh I bengang sebab kasut lawa gila meletups I beli from over the sea tetiba sampai tak muat plak dah.

this is a very good idea!
utk orang2 yg pemalas & selalu hilang idea bila pegi shop mcm i, this idea really suits me. sbb selalu buang masa pegi jalan sana sini, cari barang tp end up takde pun yg berkenan di hati. dahlah kalau pegi mall tu susah nak cari parking esp kalau pegi weekend. haih.
though it will need a very ‘pecah kepala’ session to create such a computer gadget. i ni memang susah nak visual benda2 camtu. hehe.
tp u ni memang la kan, kepala u memang ada je idea2 hitech camni.. hehe.

weird it my sound, tapi kan kedai2 yg dekat mall most of the times barang2 yg dijual barang2 yg biasa and common. tapi dekat internet sgt different. byk benda menarik, interesting and good bargain some more kan? and tk perlu nk bersesak2 q nk bayar or nk carik parking or nk kene bayar parking dekat klcc yg cekik darah nk mati.

yela, wlpn some certain website ade provide sizing… tp kadang2 tak ngam gak ngan kita. so bile ada benda camni atleast bole la tgk besar/kecik mana baju/kasut yg nk dibeli. but then of cos la nothing compare with trying ‘em in real life. tp mcm u kata, nak terbang jauh (naik turun flight) hanya kerna sepasang kasut, mcm tak berbaloi je kan – when the shop can actually ship it direct to u.
im sure computer geek akn tercabar utk buat gadget camnih. i tak cukup geek lagi lah nak sambut cabaran nih
setakat buat website bole la.anything artificial intelligence camnih, i tak pro lagik 
and hey, im looking fwrd nak tgk hasil kerja tgn u! cepat2 kasi reveal ok.

true2, i rasa virtual shopping ni mmg bagus la kalau ada, tapi utk tidak memusnahkan terus hubungan erat kawan2, gals day out, and lepak2 shopping ramai2, still boleh la nk keluar and shopping secara normal. hehe yg virtual shopping ni sesuai bila kite too busy with our day job and tkder masa nk shop and some more bila kiter ada barang best jual kt internet.
hasil kerja tangan insyallah! i pon excited ok nk launch hehe
but everyhting kene ready before i boleh launch. bukan sekadar bukak another blog n jual . no no no..:)

i like ur idea too…mmg tu antara salah satu faktor i jrg shopping baju online…prefer beli h/beg, tudung n peralatan kamera. Org2 debab mcm i ni mmg le ngeri nak beli baju..mmg kena test dulu. Kadang beli saiz sama pun tak semestinya selesa pakai sbb cutting berbeza…
Lama tak contact u pasal USANA. Skang ni busy bila dah start kerja balik..huhu. Tapi i still go through ur email(thanks!)…tgh carik masa nak pi apply maybank debit card..prefer to pay cash then CC. Then nak buat autoship..huhu..harap2 ada masa nnt..

The idea is like someone said above – out the box. I’m sure in the future akan ada gadget mcm tu. Of course at first it will cost a bomb but in time it will be affordable to everybody. Just take the internet for instance…kalau dulu masa baru2 invent mesti internet ni utk org yg gadget freak je or kaya raya je leh pakai…now?? IY & Ichiro pun dah pandai masuk facebook mak dia tekan2 pastu send!!! *tepuk dahi kejap*
Another idea to add – kalau kita leh rasa texture fabric tu online lagi best.

for sure it will cost a bomb no doubt. tapi kalau diaorg nk buat, I volunteer nk jadi beta tester…heheh. i rasa baik diaorg buat gadget tu affrodable for semua, sbb org2 biasa ni byk jugak bershooping:D

at first bile i bace yr entry,i teringat last year i ada received an email about this thing..i pun berangan2 la..huhu..sonok berangan2 ni..sbb i da bnyak kali beli baju online setiap kali tu la tak best..baju besar la..tak selesa la..so i hope with this new gadjet,it can solve this problem..pastu bole la kite try2 butik2 yang best2..hehe..teringin nak masuk tapi macm tak layak(lagi) je masuk butik yang mahal2 tu..ha lagi satu..i ni cerewet sikit beli baju..try banyak2 and kadang2 tak beli pun sebab tak puas hati and sebab tengok muka ketat SA..huh nyampah..so with this new gadjet i bole la avoid tengok muka ketat dorang..hehe..i wish that computer geek out there sahut la yr challenge ni

1stly masa memula baca entry u nie, u dah launch ur new product.. tp as i continue reading it, i ingat u invented a gadget to be use in ur new kedai.. lg i baca, baruuu la i paham the whole entry nie.. hehe.. silly me…
i rasa i ada tgk a vid from fb, almost similar dgn ur idea nie.. cuma bezanya, that person was in that kedai itself, trying new clothes without going into changing room.. just dok depan cermin je..
tp kalau ada gajet nie kat rumah best jugak ek.. boleh la berangan posing2 pakai gown vera wang, tp x beli.. hahahaha

yup, I dah tengok and dh upload the video dalam entry di atas. something similar but yet different. sbb kalau dalam kedai better pergi try sendiri betul2, so i rasa tk critical as online yg di mana u langsung tk boleh cuba and u kene gamble beli benda tu and berdoa agar muat dan cantik..huhu.
